Breve biografía Lenin
Lenin, cuyo verdadero nombre era Vladímir Ilich Uliánov, nació en Simbirsk (en la actualidad Uliánovsk) el 22 de abril de 1870, y era hijo de un funcionario. El primer incidente que alteró la tranquilidad de su juventud se produjo en 1887, cuando la policía arrestó y ejecutó a su hermano mayor por haber participado en una conspiración para asesinar al zar Alejandro III. Lenin se matriculó en la Universidad de Kazan ese mismo año, pero fue expulsado al poco tiempo por participar en actividades revolucionarias radicales y se trasladó a la hacienda de su abuelo, situada en la localidad de Kokushkino.

El 22 de enero de 1905, una gran manifestación pacífica organizada en San Petersburgo, para pedir al zar reformas, fue disuelta a tiros por las tropas, falleciendo más de mil personas. Este hecho causó gran indignación en toda Rusia. De inmediato comenzaron a producirse huelgas y actos violentos que se propagaron a los núcleos industriales y sacudieron a las naciones sometidas al imperio, como Georgia, Polonia y Finlandia. Incluso por primera vez sectores minoritarios del ejército se rebelaron contra el zar.
